1. What information we collect
Reading the news on notic.ia.bo does not require signing up or creating an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal data to browse the site.
- Server logs: like any website, our hosting keeps basic technical records of visits (IP address, browser, page requested, date and time) for a limited time, for security and error-diagnosis purposes. We don't use them to identify individuals or share them with third parties.
- Advertising: when an ad is shown, we count how many times it was displayed and how many clicks it received, in aggregate (a total number per ad). We don't store your IP address or any data that identifies you when you click an ad.
- Contact form: if you write to us from Contact us, the name, email, and message you provide are used only to reply to you, and are not shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes.
- Admin panel: only the notic.ia.bo editorial team accesses the admin panel, protected by username and password. This doesn't affect people who just read the site.
2. Cookies
The public site uses a single first-party cookie, which stores your preferred language (Spanish or English) so you don't have to choose it again on every page — it is not a tracking or advertising cookie, it doesn't identify you personally, and you can delete it from your browser settings at any time without affecting your access to the site. Besides that one, the only other cookie on this site is the admin panel's session cookie, which is only created if someone logs in there.
3. Links to external sites
Every story links to the original media outlet, and ads link to advertisers' sites. This privacy policy applies only to notic.ia.bo: we have no control over the privacy practices of those external sites, and we recommend reviewing their own policies if you're concerned.
4. Your rights
If you wrote to us through the contact form and want us to delete your message from our records, write to us at info@notic.ia.bo and we'll take care of it.
